Fallon Luminous Products Wins Legal Victory in Federal Court

KNOXVILLE -- Fallon Luminous Products Corp., a leading manufacturer of lighted signs, announced that last Thursday the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee ruled in favor of Fallon and against iLight Technologies' claims that Fallon infringed iLight's patents. The court ruled that the Fallon sign products accused by iLight "do not infringe iLight Technologies, Inc.'s patents." The court stated that iLight's complaint against Fallon will be dismissed and the Chapter 11 Trustee's objection to iLight's claim will be sustained.

The court's ruling follows Fallon's victory last April in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington D.C. which overturned the earlier decision of the District Court in Cookeville, Tennessee.

"This court decision resolves the last remaining patent issue in this case 100% in Fallon's favor. The court's ruling is a major victory for our company and all our customers," said John Perrachon, Chief Executive Officer of Fallon Luminous Products. "We believe this ruling is a final vindication of what we have said consistently since the lawsuit was filed—that our products do not violate iLight's patents. It is unfortunate that we and our customers have had to suffer through a costly, protracted court battle on this issue. We thank our customers and suppliers for their good faith and support through this case."

Established in 1987, Fallon Luminous Products is the supplier of choice for discriminating and high profile buyers of custom point-of-sale, retail and decorative lighted signage. Fallon provides the most diversified product selection in the industry, and ensures the highest quality and value, using state-of-the-art technology and only the finest materials.
