KNOXVILLE — Bryan A. Jackson, certified public accountant and former senior partner with Jackson & Runyan Certified Public Accountants firm, has joined Patriot Investment Management as its newest investment manager.

Jackson joined Patriot after retiring as founding senior partner of Jackson & Runyan. He has more than 32 years of experience in investment and financial planning in East Tennessee and holds both a bachelor of science and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee. Prior to founding Jackson and Runyan accounting firm, he was a banker and also a professor at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tenn.

“Bryan is a great addition and will be a valuable asset to our team,” said Brad Bower, president and CEO of Patriot Investment Management. “His many years of experience in tax and financial planning allow him to guide his clients through the jungle of tax regulations, estate planning issues, and portfolio management.”

Avidly involved in the community, Jackson has served Athens and Lenoir City as president of several community organizations, including the Athens Chamber of Commerce, McMinn County Economic Development Association, Athens Kiwanis Club, and McMinn County United Way.

He currently serves as a Director of United Community Bank-Tennessee, the Crescent Sock Company, and Tennessee Wesleyan College, where he is chair of the finance committee. He is president-elect of the Holston United Methodist Home for Children, where he has been a board member for several years.
