Valpak signs youngest franchisee in Knoxville

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Valpak, a leader in direct mail and digital marketing, announced today that 24-year-old Alexandria Craske has acquired its East Tennessee territory. Based in Knoxville, Valpak of East Tennessee has served local businesses and residents since 2003. Craske plans to mail her first Valpak Blue Envelope in October to approximately 70,000 households across Knox, Loudon and Blount counties in the Volunteer State.

Craske recently moved to the Knoxville area from Tallahassee, Florida, after graduating from Florida State University with a bachelor’s in English with an emphasis in media and marketing. Throughout her college career, Craske had many insightful opportunities, including writing for the Florida House of Representatives, 2015 session. She was the program development coordinator and children’s ministry director at Killearn and Pisagh United Methodist Churches, respectively. Most recently, Craske served as the lead report writer for a private security company before deciding to own her own business.

“As the new owner of Valpak of East Tennessee, and a new resident of Knoxville, I’m excited to join the community. As the youngest franchisee in Valpak’s system to date, I hope to bring a fresh perspective to the brand that resonates with local businesses and residents,” said Craske. “Valpak is a trusted company with a solid and unique business model. I look forward to applying my marketing expertise to help local businesses promote their products and services to residents in the area.”

A leader in cooperative direct mail, Valpak mails coupons to nearly 37 million demographically targeted households per month in 47 states and three Canadian provinces. In addition to its flagship Blue Envelope, Valpak offers its business customers an impressive portfolio of digital marketing products including Valpak.com, Smartphone apps, Google partnerships, website development, mobile web optimization, and reputation management.

“Although Valpak has been distributing its signature Blue Envelope since the 1960s, we’ve continued to evolve and develop technology, like augmented reality, to appeal to all generations. At only 24 years old, Alexandria’s passion and belief in our business model is proof of that,” said Greg Courchane, director of franchise sales for Valpak. “It proves that Valpak has the ability to inspire entrepreneurs of all ages and that there’s still a very strong demand for our services and expertise. We’re ecstatic to welcome Alexandria to the company, and look forward to her success in the East Tennessee territory.”

With more than 25 million Americans using couponing apps each month, Valpak's digital offerings have been a big draw for new franchisees. Digital coupon use is on the rise, and ample gains are projected in 2017. In the past year, Valpak's print offerings have also expanded with on-envelope advertising and circulars.
