BB&T names Beam as regional corporate banking manager

KNOXVILLE – BB&T has named Andy Beam as its regional corporate banking manager, for the Tennessee region which is based in Knoxville.

“We are excited and very fortunate to have someone with Andy’s knowledge, expertise and experience join our team,” said BB&T Tennessee Regional President Christian Corts. “He will be a strong asset in building upon our growth and momentum in this area.”

Beam, 49, has more than 25 years banking experience including 17 years with BB&T, where he began his career in 1994 in BB&T’s Leadership Development Program. While at BB&T, he served in various roles within the Commercial Lending, Regional Corporate Lending, and Capital Markets groups. He is rejoining the bank after serving middle market clients in East Tennessee for another financial institution. A native of Atlanta, Beam earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Furman University, Greenville, S.C., and an MBA in finance from Georgia State University, Atlanta.
