Mike Brown joins Pinnacle’s client services team

MARYVILLE, TN – Mike Brown has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a senior vice president and financial advisor supporting the firm’s client services team. He is based at Pinnacle’s Maryville office on W. Lamar Alexander Parkway.

Brown, with 37 years of experience, comes to Pinnacle from SmartBank (formerly Foothills Bank & Trust), where he was vice president of commercial and consumer lending. Prior roles were with Mountain National Bank, where he was president and chief executive officer, First National Bank of Gatlinburg, where he served as senior operations officer and First Federal Savings Bank (now Regions), where he was branch administrator and compliance officer.

“Mike has served the Blount County and East Tennessee market for his entire career and has an incredible level of experience in business and consumer banking,” said Tony Thompson, Pinnacle’s area manager in Maryville. “His dedication to clients and delivering an exceptional service experience make him a natural fit for Pinnacle.”

Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Tennessee and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

He is past president of the Maryville and Sevierville Rotary Clubs and is past president of the United Way of Blount County. Brown is a graduate of Leadership Blount and has served on its board of directors. He is also a graduate of Leadership Sevier, a two-time chair of National Banpac’s (FIS) advisory board and is a nine-year member of Independent Community Bankers of America’s operations and financial services committees.
