Johnson Architecture has named Shehara Hapuarachy a project architect following successful completion of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE).

Hapuarachy has worked with a variety of clients and projects since joining the firm in 2016, including Blackberry Farm, Clayton-Bradley STEM Academy, Dollywood’s Wildwood Grove expansion, Lakeway Christian Academy, University of Tennessee West Campus Redevelopment – Dining Facility and Young-Williams Animal Center.

“Shehara’s attention to detail and form combined with her skills in building information modeling (BIM) allow her to produce cohesive designs that are practical and elegant,” said Daryl Johnson, founder and president of Johnson Architecture. “We are glad to add her to our growing staff of licensed architects and interior designers.”

Hapuarachy earned her Bachelor of Architecture in 2012 from the University of Tennessee. Prior to joining Johnson Architecture, she worked as an intern architect at both Michael Brady Inc. and McCarty Holsaple McCarty.

Hapuarachy lives in South Knoxville and enjoys traveling and playing tennis. She also volunteers with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, UT Alumni Association and Knox Heritage.
