KNOXVILLE – On Saturday, April 13, 2019, the Knox County “Small Business Saturday” initiative held its 4th small business Saturday event at Naples Italian Resturant. This was the largest event so far with nearly 25 Knox County residents attending the dinner. The elected officials in attendance were Congressman Tim Burchett, Knox County Commissioner At-Large Larsen Jay, and Knox County Circuit Court Clerk Charlie Susano.

“As always, we continue to be a huge success because of the residents that turn out. I cannot stress how grateful I am to those who support our initiative and show up to support small businesses,” said Daniel Herrera, the organizer, and founder of the Small Business Saturday initiative.

The Small Business Saturday initiative wants to recognize Congressman Tim Burchett, Knox County Commissioner At-Large Larsen Jay, and Knox County Circuit Court Clerk Charlie Susano for attending and supporting the event, stating:

“Congressman Burchett, Commissioner Jay, and Circuit Court Clerk Susano have been champions of small businesses from the beginning and their support of this program prove their unwavering commitment to ensuring a prosperous business climate. We cannot thank them enough for their support.”

The Small Business Saturday initiative hosts monthly Saturday lunches at restaurants all around Knox County. Their May event has not yet been scheduled.
