Knoxville CPA elected as an NASBA Southeast regional director
December 30, 2021


NASHVILLE, TN – Larry Elmore, CPA, of Knoxville was elected The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Southeast regional director of its 2021-22 Board of Directors. Elmore was also appointed member of NASBA’s Relations with Member Boards and Uniform Accountancy Act Committees.

Elmore has also served as member of NASBA’s Audit and Uniform Accountancy Act Committees. Currently, he is a member and secretary of the Tennessee State Board of Accountancy. Elmore holds 42 years of experience in public accounting and is a retired audit partner of Pugh CPAs, where he served on the firm’s Executive Officers Committee and dedicated over 40 years of service to the firm’s governmental practice and financial institutions practice.






His service and experience also include financial and compliance audits, review and compilation services, agreed-upon procedures engagements, strategic business and financial planning, internal audit services and internal control engagements. He has extensive experience in accounting and auditing to a variety of industries, including financial institutions, retail, wholesale, governmental, not for profit, and others.

He has acquired several professional, civic and other affiliations and accomplishments, including Chartered Global Management Accountant, Certified Government Financial Manager, and member of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership, Board of Goodwill Industries – Knoxville (past chairman) and University of Tennessee Presidents Club. In addition, he has held several positions with the Tennessee Society of CPA’s, both at the state and local level and served on the Accounting Advisory Roundtable of both the University of Tennessee and Tenn Tech University. Elmore graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1976 with a B.S. degree, with a major in accounting.
