Dr. Kiger of AMS receives international recognition from nuclear industry

AMS is pleased to announce that the manager of its Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineering group Dr. Chad Kiger is one of the 2021 recipients of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Award known as the IEC 1906 Award. This award is presented each year to honor international experts in recognition of exceptional achievements to advance IEC activities in a significant way.

Dr. Kiger is a nationally certified professional Engineer and is licensed in the State of Tennessee. During his 16 years at AMS, he has performed EMC qualification testing in nearly 100 nuclear facilities in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Kiger currently leads the development of the IEC Standard 62003 to establish instrumentation and control system testing requirements for the safety of nuclear power plants.






Dr. Kiger also serves the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) to assist the worldwide nuclear industry to resolve EMC issues and implement wireless technologies.

AMS congratulates Dr. Chad Kiger on another well-deserved and important recognition from his peers in the global nuclear industry.
