WDVX to Host Hillbilly Ball
Community radio station, WDVX, will host its 4th annual Hillbilly Ball gala on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the Knoxville Museum of Art.
Hosts for the evening will include WDVX radio personalities Freddy Smith, Red Hickey, Grace Leach, and Tony Lawson. Live entertainment will be provided by local band Todd Steed and the Suns of Phere.
A silent auction will carry music themed items and experiences such as handwritten song lyrics by artists including the Avett Brothers, Fred Eaglesmith, and Cristabel and the Jons, along with a dinner concert featuring the Greencards at the Square Room. Also included in the silent auction will be vineyard tours, a signed Derek Dooley football, custom artwork, autographed albums, show tickets; and many more other interesting items.
Dinner is being provided by The Parlor with desserts from Magpies.
Tickets are $75 per person and may be purchased in advance by calling WDVX at 865-544-1029, or online at www.wdvx.com. Cash bar and silent auction opens at 6:00 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:00, and music starting at 7:30.
