1920s Silent Movie on the Big Screen

The silent movie, The Last of the Mohicans, will be shown at the Historic Tennessee Theatre on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.

The Last of the Mohicans is a 1920 Maurice Tourneur Productions dramatic silent film. It stars Wallace Beery, Barbara Bedford and Alan Roscoe. The film was directed by Knoxville's own Clarence Brown and is based on the classic Fenimore Cooper novel. It will be shown in black and white with a run time of 73 minutes.

Renowned theatre organist Ron Carter from Marietta, Ga will play the mighty Wurlitzer.

This is the fourth in the series of four Clarence Brown directed silent movies being shown at the Historic Tennessee Theatre.

Admission is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for children and seniors. Tickets are now on sale at the Clinch Avenue ticket office. They may be ordered by phone by calling the ticket office at 865- 684-1200.
