The Love Kitchen to Have A Day at the Fair
KNOXVILLE -- You have an opportunity to help out The Love Kitchen, one of Knoxville's favorite non-profit organizations.
On Sunday, September 11, beginning at 1:00 p.m., Tennessee Valley Fairgoers can purchase unlimited ride wristbands for $25.00 each. From each wristband sold, $1 will be donated to The Love Kitchen.
The Love Kitchen provides meals, clothing and emergency services to homebound, homeless and unemployed individuals and families in the Knoxville area. Working together with other local agencies, the Love Kitchen provides these services in the hopes of promoting self-sufficiency in our community. The organization has no paid staff; all donations go to those who need it most. The Kitchen's ultimate goal is to provide nourishment for anyone who is hungry and to establish a community center to serve as a safe haven supporting area children and their families.
In 2010, Love Kitchen Day at the Fair raised nearly $6,000.00 for the Love Kitchen. WBIR Channel 10, The Knoxville News Sentinel, Food City and Wade Shows help make this fundraiser possible.
