Children's Museum of Oak Ridge to celebrate the young child

OAK RIDGE, Tn. -- The Children's Museum of Oak Ridge is offering family entertainment and children's activities from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Friday, April 27 through its Celebration of the Young Child program.

Barbara Bailey Hutchison, singer and Grammy award winner will be the featured performer at the Celebration of the Young Child day at the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge.

Barbara Bailey Hutchison, singer and Grammy award winner whose songs about science and nature, diversity, listening to elders, and more, will be the featured performer at 10 a.m.

The day's events include storytelling, make-and-take crafts, healthy living activities, a book fair, puppet show, a fire engine, model trains and more.

Admission is $5. Scholarships are available on request. It's all part of a special Week of the Young Child celebrated in April across the country.
