Grammy Award Winning Vocal Ensemble Manhattan Transfer to Perform with KSO

KNOXVILLE -- Grammy Award winning vocal group Manhattan Transfer will perform with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, February 4 at the Civic Auditorium for the Clayton Valentine's Pops Concert.

For nearly 40 years, Manhattan Transfer has blurred the lines of jazz and pop to create a unique sound making them one of America's most beloved vocal groups. Performers Janis Siegel, Margaret Dorn, Tim Hauser and Alan Paul harmonize beautifully in such songs as "Birdland," "Boy From New York City," "Route 66," "Tuxedo Junction" and more. They have released dozens of albums and won a number of Grammy awards. In 1998 the group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
