Donny Richmond and Carl Richmond at "Saving Faith" Movie Premiere

Internationally known entertainer and recording artist Donny Richmond and son Carl, of Sevier County, star in the new movie “Saving Faith”. This faith based romantic comedy is now making the rounds at movie theaters around the country.

The movie premiered Jan. 28 at the Ritz Theater in Clinton, TN, where much of it was filmed. Other scenes were produced in Nashville. Several hundred people lined up at the theater for a first glimpse of the movie which centers around Donny’s character, “Uncle Donny,” and that of his niece in the movie played by well known Christian film actress, Jenn Gotzon. Comic scenes, provided by America’s “King of Clean Comedy,” Henry Cho, are intertwined in the story. Henry’s long list of credits includes appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late, Late Show, and host of his own TV and radio network shows. In a cute twist, Donny’s son Carl actually appears in the role of Donny’s son “Carl” in the movie. Carl, who has completed 3 acting roles in less than a year, was also in the recently released movie; “The Christmas Reunion”.

“Saving Faith” was produced by Rossetti Productions, under the direction of Chip Rossetti, and production team Donna Botts, Matthew Ulm, and Lisa Lewis.

“Saving Faith” includes performances of 2 of Donny Richmond’s #1 Christian Country chart hits and new music by country music artist Buddy Jewell. Actor Carey Jones, of Sevierville, also appears in a very prominent role as “the bad guy”. Pigeon Forge based musicians Louis Kahl and Bob Shuler are also seen playing in the band. The movie features cameo on screen appearances by a parade of stars including Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus, The Gatlin Brothers, olympic skater Scott Hamilton, and several others.
