This year, fall in love with the Smokies all over again


SEVIERVILLE, TN – Fall in the Smoky Mountains means beautiful autumn color along every winding backroad and mountaintop and harvest fest decorations adorning area businesses. It also means plenty of great things-to-do all October long. Sevierville, Tennessee is celebrating the harvest season with great events, a unique historic driving tour and fall-themed attractions all October long. Now is the perfect time to fall in love with the Smokies all over again.

Sevierville’s 2017 Harvest Fest events include perennial favorites like Robert Tino’s Smoky Mountain Homecoming (Oct 6-8), a celebration of mountain heritage and art, and Bruce Street Brewfest (Oct. 14) a beer festival in downtown Sevierville with more than 40 home and professional brewers. But there are also new events in Sevierville including downtown Sevierville’s Music in Commons concert series taking place each Friday in October and featuring east Tennessee musical artists such as Boogertown Gap (Oct. 6), Ed Snodderly (Oct. 13), Misty River (Oct. 20), and the Johnson City Quartet (Oct. 27). Also new for 2017 is the Autumn Celebration at Foxfire Mountain Adventures (Oct. 19-22).

Sevierville’s English Mountain Fall Foliage driving tour is back again this year. Launched in 2016, this popular self-guided driving tour takes visitors along Sevierville’s back roads and highlights historic sites such as the Fair Garden Battleground, the Harrisburg Covered Bridge, and Blowing Cave Mill. Driving tour directions and points of interest can be found at VisitSevierville.com/fall.

Fall-themed attractions also pop up in October. Several corn mazes complete with pumpkin patches, hay rides and activities for the kids can be found in Sevierville. Visit Kyker Farms Corn Maze (Sept. 30-Oct. 29) for a totally corn-fusing and family-friendly experience during the day. Then come back at night for more chilling fun at their frightening attractions The Maze and Zombie Blasterz. Find even more family-friendly fun at Dollywood’s Great Pumpkin LumiNights (Sept. 29-Oct. 28), an all-new Harvest Festival experience with thousands of carved and illuminated jack-o-lanterns, fun characters, a children’s glow maze and more.
