West Town Mall spreads holiday cheer for all ages


Santa Claus is coming to town! To help families get in the magical spirit of the holidays, West Town Mall is hosting a variety of seasonal activities and entertainment all November and December long! With special charitable programs, entertainment, photos with Santa and more, West Town Mall offers a memorable holiday experience that the whole family can enjoy!

Photos with Santa: Now – December 24 – Shoppers can visit the enchanted Santa Photo Experience in the amphitheater located in front of JCPenney to capture the spirit of the season with Santa! Children can share their Christmas wish lists and take home a special photo – perfect for holiday cards and lasting memories. Pet Photo Night: December 10 – Shoppers are invited to bring their festive four-legged, furry friends to visit with Santa and to take purr-fect holiday photos! Pet Photo Night with Santa will be held at the Santa Set at the amphitheater located in front of JCPenney on Sunday, December 10 from 6 – 8 p.m. Guests are asked to use the entrance near Charming Charlie on the Morrell Road side of the mall. No exotic pets, please.

Caring Santa: December 3 – Caring Santa is a private event designed for children and young adults with special needs and their families to have an opportunity to visit Santa and get their photos taken. West Town Mall will make the necessary adjustments to the environment to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children of all abilities for this special event. The event will be held at the Santa Set at the amphitheater located in front of JCPenney during private mall hours from 8 – 9:30 a.m. In order to provide a calmer sensory-friendly environment, families are asked to enter the mall using the entrance near Charming Charlie on the Morrell Road side of the mall. The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign: November 10 – December 23 – Shoppers interested in supporting The Salvation Army and making a donation to those in need can visit bell ringers located at the main mall entrances The Cheesecake Factory and Belk Men.

The Angel Tree: November 23 – December 24 – For over 30 years, West Town Mall has welcomed The Angel Tree, which provides new clothing and toys for children of families in need. The donation station at the mall will be located in the Belk Man hallway near the play area. There shoppers can also pick up “wish list” cards and return unwrapped gifts. Shoppers who participate in this program will receive a complimentary gift-wrapping service in exchange for their donations to The Angel Tree.

Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K: December 2 – Run, run reindeer! Runners are invited to grab an ugly Christmas sweater and join The Point at West Town Mall for its annual Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K! The race, which raises money for Second Harvest Food for Kids, will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, December 2 in the mall parking lot near the Cheesecake Factory.
