The Tennessee Theatre has commissioned two glass holiday ornaments celebrating 90 years of grand entertainment. The ornaments are available for purchase now to decorate a tree at home or give as a gift this season, and all purchases support the Official State Theatre of Tennessee.
The 90th anniversary ornament depicts the outside of the Tennessee Theatre, complete with the iconic blade sign, and includes the number 90, commemorating this milestone anniversary. It also features details celebrating the theatre’s musical, theatrical and cinematic history, including a violin, theater masks, movie film reel, ballet slippers and box of popcorn. Each ornament is created by hand and available for $45.

In addition, the Tennessee Theatre is selling a limited-edition redesign of the theatre’s first annual ornament introduced in 2016. A replica of the Tennessee blade sign, this 90th anniversary version of the ornament is adorned with Swarovski crystal. Only 90 of these special pieces were produced as a fundraiser for the theatre, and a very limited quantity is available for purchase at $250.
“These ornaments are a lovely way to commemorate the Tennessee Theatre’s 90th anniversary, while raising funds to help keep the theatre going for 90 more years,” Tennessee Theatre Executive Director Becky Hancock said. “These two heirloom ornaments add elegance and local significance to holiday décor, and we hope will serve as a cherished keepsake for years to come. We appreciate all that our community does to support our beloved theatre, and we look forward to providing entertainment and programming for many years to come.”
Both ornaments are handcrafted by European artisans and are heirloom-quality pieces. For more information and to purchase the ornaments, visit www.tennesseetheatre.com/giftshop or visit the box office on Clinch Avenue during regular business hours. The box office can be reached at 865-684-1200.
