Museum of East Tennessee History Has Holiday Open House
Cookies and apple cider will warm the day at the East Tennessee Historical Society's Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 10. Some of the activities include live music, quilting and needlework demonstrations, ornament and craft making for the kids, cookies and hot cider, and stories from Christmases-past. In addition, visitors are invited to browse the Museum Store for a great selection of traditional gifts, history books, and children's items.
Visitors are also invited to tour the new feature exhibition Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War, as well as the permanent exhibition Voices of the Land: The People of East Tennessee.
The event is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Free admission to the Museum of East Tennessee History is available through January 13, courtesy of a grant from the Arts and Heritage Fund.
