Savannah Ivey Wins Fairest of the Fair Crown

Fairest of the Fair Crown.

KNOXVILLE - One of the most exciting activities at the Tennessee Valley Fair each year is crowning the Fairest of the Fair. On Saturday, September 10, Savannah Ivey, daughter of Rob & Tammy Ivey from Knoxville, won the 53rd annual contest.

Ivey will serve as an official hostess and representative of the Fair throughout the year. She will also represent the Tennessee Valley Fair in the state competition in Nashville in January.

First runner-up in the pageant was 16-year-old Ariana Wallace, daughter of Pamela Wallace of Clinton.

Second runner-up was 17-year-old Megan Walker, daughter of Brian & Connie Walker of Knoxville.

Fairest winner Savannah Ivey was also named Miss Photogenic. 15-year-old Tori Palmer, daughter of Pamela Holbert of Knoxville was selected as Fairgoer's Fair Lady by popular vote.

Ivey, as well as the first and second runners-up received cash prizes, gift certificates, flowers, and a crown. Ivey also received a $500 scholarship for post-high school education.

The Tennessee Valley Fair Pageant Department helps young ladies across Knox County hone their leadership skills and develop the confidence they need to achieve their dreams. Participation builds self-esteem, poise, self-discipline and character.
