A Stimulus Package for Dog Lovers

dogKNOXVILLE -- Young-Williams Animal Center is offering a "Priceless Pooches Stimulus Package." Now through August 31st, each adult dog age six months and older is available for just a $50 adoption fee.

"I don't think you can ever put a price tag on the love, joy and benefits of owning a pet," said Dr. Michael Blackwell, administrator of Young-Williams Animal Center. "However, we know many families are on a budget, and we want to inform the community on the value provided when you adopt from your local shelter."

Adoption fees include a physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, DAPP and Kennel Cough vaccinations, heartworm test and one-month of heartworm prevention, standard deworming, one-month of flea prevention, nail trim and ear cleaning, and a microchip with registration. The average value of these services for each spayed or neutered adult dog is about $645.

For families or individuals who are considering pet adoption, Blackwell encourages them to visit Young-Williams Animal Center and Young-Williams Animal Village.

"If you're considering pet adoption, please visit the animal center," Blackwell said. "We surely have your new best friend waiting."

Young-Williams Animal Center reminds the community to please spay and neuter your pets.
