Ramsey House offering class in organic gardening
KNOXVILLE -- A hands on organic gardening class is being offered at the Historic Ramsey House in March and April.
Organic gardening is becoming a popular way of life, and this class will teach you how to grow your own food in a natural and healthy way which will save you money when grocery shopping.
This class is open to beginner and intermediate organic enthusiasts who will be given information on tool usage, practices, and educational references to aid in the successful preparation, planting, pest management, and harvesting in an organic setting. During classes, you will learn by doing and through discussions about the entire process of organic gardening.
The classes will be on the following Saturdays: March 24, 31, April 14 and 21. The cost is $70.00 per person for the series of 4 classes. Class instructor will be Derrick Turman.
