SCPLS Seymour branch library fundraising harvest meal scheduled for November 8

SEYMOUR, TN - Just in time to get us stoked up for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, you are invited to help support the expansion fundraising program by purchasing a delicious Harvest Meal! The fundraising drive will benefit the expansion of the Seymour Branch Library of the Sevier County Public Library System (SCPLS).

Join in on November 8 from 4:00-6:30PM (extended hours) for a Harvest Meal including delicious smoked turkey (smoked by Buddy’s Bar-B-Q), dressing/stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potato casserole, roll, and drink all for a donation of your choice. Friends of the Seymour Library have generously offered to provide homemade sides and dessert for the meal. Take-out trays will be available for meals (no take-out drinks available). The Harvest Meal plates will be available on a first come, first serve basis as long as supplies last.

Currently, the Seymour Branch Library averages a bit over 60,000 visits annually circulating over 90,000 items. Almost 20 groups and clubs use the one meeting space monthly and almost 1,200 people use the computers each month. The library offers a weekly preschool story time on Mondays at 11:00AM. They also offer a monthly homeschool tween/teen reading club, a monthly computer class, a new chess club and a variety of other programs for adults and teens.

An expansion to the Seymour Branch Library has been approved by Sevier County government but lots of fundraising is still required to complete the expansion as shown in the drawing (copies of the architectural rendering available at the Seymour Branch Library). You can help us build toward our goal of bringing the dream of a Seymour Branch Library building expansion to fulfillment by stopping by on November 8 to enjoy a delicious Harvest Meal. Carry out orders will be available and donations are being accepted for the meals.
