Make A Difference Day for Sevier County teens

Make a Difference Day assists teens with basic hygiene items for the Teen Christmas Project. The event is sponsored by Sevier County Family Resource Center and Sevier County’s Promise Besides helping Sevier County teens with necessary personal care products. For donations dropped off at any branch of the Sevier County Public Library System (SCPLS), the library will waive any accrued fines on one library card account.

The hygiene supply drive will last the entire month of October.

Christmas is just around the corner so donations received now will be beneficial in assisting with the Make a Difference Day project for this year. The list of hygiene items needed includes:

• Body Wash
• Shaving cream
• Razors
• Deodorant
• Dental Floss
• Mouthwash (small; not travel size)
• Toothpaste
• Chapstick
• Hair brushes
• Combs
• Socks

Bring any two (2) of the suggested hygiene supplies and get any amount of fine waived per library card. The amount of the fine is irrelevant and only fines will be waived. Lost or damaged items will still require payment for the loss and processing of materials.

Please take the opportunity to help Sevier County teens during the Make a Difference Day sponsored by the Sevier County Family Resource Center and Sevier County’s Promise. The SCPLS drop-off locations include:

• King Family Library, 408 High Street, Sevierville
• Seymour Branch Library, 137 W. Macon Lane, Seymour
