Volunteer East Tennessee continues the call for nominations for the East Tennessee Volunteer Recognition Awards (ETVRA), honoring outstanding adult and youth volunteers. Nominations are due March 1, 2019, and can be submitted online at www.volunteeretn.org/ETVRA.
Volunteers serving in the following East Tennessee counties are eligible for nomination: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Loudon, McMinn, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, and Washington.
“Volunteers contribute significantly to the vitality of every Tennessee community. They respond to all calls of need: emergencies, mentoring youth, feeding the hungry, and the humane treatment of animals. Their volunteerism allows nonprofit organizations to stretch resources and deliver the greatest amount of service possible,” states Alyson Gallaher, Executive Director of Volunteer East Tennessee. “This recognition is a small token of appreciation compared to what they give of their time and talents.”
All nominees from East Tennessee counties will be invited to attend the 4th Annual East Tennessee Volunteer Recognition Awards in Knoxville on April 6, 2019, presented by Home Federal Bank.
