Hydrangeas, tomatoes, turf varieties, and more are the focus of the 11th Annual Fall Gardeners’ Festival in Crossville. For plateau and central Tennessee gardeners, this event is a must. Hosted by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, the festival will be held at the Plateau AgResearch and Education Center and include talks from UT researchers and faculty.

Education sessions will feature topics like best plants for the Plateau, cool-season color, and choosing the right ornamental tree for a location. Sessions focused on growing food items will be presented as well, including talks on tomatoes, home fruit growing, and results of the Tennessee Home Garden Variety Trails.

In addition to educational workshops, the festival will also include wagon tours of the Plateau AgResearch and Education Center and an exhibit area with garden vendors. An Ask-the-Expert table will also be available for any plant or pest identification or general garden problem-solving needs.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. CDT with presentations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food items will be available for purchase throughout the day.

The Plateau AgResearch and Education Center is located off of Highway 70N at 320 Experiment Station Road in Crossville.
