“We look forward to seeing some of the most gifted Carhops come together at SONIC once a year to give this competition their all,” said Blaine Wood, director of sales for Dr Pepper. “As partners of the Skate-Off competition, it is a rewarding reminder to see how special the SONIC and Dr Pepper cultures are and to celebrate those who go above and beyond for their guests.”

With a championship title on the line, as well as a free pair of custom RC Sports skates and Dr Pepper skates, the opportunity to train with professional skaters and win cash prizes, the skaters will tackle an intense 12-part obstacle course and fun freestyle performance in front of judges and spectators on August 6. The gold, silver and bronze medalists will be announced during the 2019 SONIC National Convention held in Austin, Texas this September.
