Summit Express Clinics now are open every day from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. to serve the urgent care and walk-in medical needs of the Knoxville area. Operated by Summit Medical Group, East Tennessee’s largest primary care organization, Summit Express Clinics provide timely health services and treat acute illnesses and injuries for patients age 2 and older at four locations: Farragut, Bearden, Fountain City and Powell.
Walk-ins are welcome at Summit Express Clinics, and appointments are available. Patients do not have to be a Summit Medical Group primary care patient to visit a Summit Express Clinic.
“We are expanding our hours to serve the community when and where they need care, seven days a week,” Summit Medical Group COO Ranee Guard said. “We understand that many people have busy schedules and need non-emergency medical services throughout the day, evening and weekends, and Summit Express Clinics allow patients to walk in at their convenience or make a last-minute appointment any day of the week.”
Summit Express Clinics offer treatment for common ailments including cold, flu and bronchitis; nausea and vomiting; earaches; urinary problems; skin rashes; sprains and fractures; sore throats; allergies and sinusitis; and minor lacerations requiring stitches. Vaccinations, including flu shots and measles boosters, are available, as well as sports, DOT, military and fit-for-duty physicals. The clinics also provide on-site laboratory and X-ray services.
