The Knox County Board of Education will conduct a work session in preparation for the monthly meeting which will be held to discuss a potential funding concept for Carter Elementary.

Mayor Tim Burchett was asked to address the Board on this issue. "I think seeking new and innovative funding methods is very important to the future of Knox County, including the Knox County School System," said Burchett. "On November 29, I will present the details of the potential funding vehicle for Carter Elementary School in a conversation with the Board." Burchett will also discuss other municipalities that have successfully utilized this funding for capital construction projects.

The work session will be held on Monday, November 29 at 5 p.m. in the Boardroom on the first floor of the Andrew Johnson Building, 912 S. Gay Street.

The monthly meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 1 at 5 p.m. in the main assembly room of the City County Building.
