Britton Bridge is working 12-hour shifts 6 days a week to live up to contract mandates. The mandates state that demolition on the north side of the bridge be complete and all 4 lanes of traffic on Neyland Drive be restored by August 19.

Access to Neyland Drive from Locust Street will also be reopened as part of the same August 19 mandate.

The greenway under the north side of Henley Bridge has already been reopened to bikers and pedestrians.

According to Mayor Daniel T. Brown, demolition is on schedule and all temporary traffic control devices will be gone from Neyland Drive and the speed limit will revert to 45mph.
