Pigeon Forge City Commission Candidates to Speak at Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association Meeting
PIGEON FORGE -– The Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association (PFHA) has invited the five Pigeon Forge City Commission Candidates to attend their March 3, 2011 PFHA Membership Meeting to be held at the Wood Grill Buffet Restaurant in Pigeon Forge. Candidates William Howell, Dwight E. Maples, Tony Lee Rast, and Howard W. Reagan along with Incumbent David W. Wear are invited to answer tourism related questions and present their campaign platform at the PFHA March 3rd meeting.
"The Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association is extremely interested in hearing from each candidate and what their position is with specific relation to the Pigeon Forge Hospitality and Tourism Industry," said PFHA Vice President and Governmental Relations Chairman Phil Campbell with Mainstay Suites. "We are looking forward to learning more about each contender and to have the opportunity to impress upon them how important the Hospitality Industry is to each Pigeon Forge business, employee, citizen and visitor."
The March PFHA Membership Meeting will be held at the Wood Grill Buffet Restaurant located at 2301 Parkway on Thursday, March 3, 2011 with registration beginning at 11:00 a.m. The PFHA Membership Meeting is open to its members as well as those businesses and individuals interested in joining the association.
"We are pleased to have this public opportunity to host the five commission candidates at our PFHA Meeting," said Campbell. "This is such a critical time in our city's existence and we want to help promote a better understanding of each candidate's profile so that voters can make a more informed decision as to which candidate(s) they feel is best suited to represent Pigeon Forge for the next four years."
The City of Pigeon Forge Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Voters will elect two (2) City Commissioners that will each serve a four (4) year term on Pigeon Forge City Commission.
