LENOIR CITY, TN – Yale Locks & Hardware, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, is again supporting Habitat for Humanity in its effort to eliminate poverty housing. Yale's five-year commitment, which will run through 2015, includes $5 million of donated interior and exterior locks and keys for homes built with Habitat for Humanity homeowner partners and volunteers.
Yale has provided more than 500,000 locks, valued at more than $11 million, to Habitat for Humanity affiliates primarily in the United States as well as in Mexico and throughout the Asia Pacific region.
"We realize the need for affordable and safe housing and understand the impact its availability has on the community," said ASSA ABLOY Americas Division President and CEO Thanasis Molokotos. "Everyone deserves security and we'll continue doing our part to provide that to families and communities in need of housing."
