MARYVILLE -- An accident occurred at approximately 12:30 this afternoon on E. Lamar Alexander Parkway in Maryville when a woman driving the white vehicle pictured above turned left off the Parkway onto Grandview Drive in front of an oncoming pickup truck.
Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Blount Memorial Hospital. Police stated that neither driver appeared to have life-threatening injuries although both drivers were placed on stretchers next to their vehicles before being transported to ambulances.
The names of the drivers are expected to be released this evening.
