MARYVILLE, TN -- Dr. Michael Damron has joined Summit Medical Group at Maryville as a pediatrician and currently is accepting new patients. The practice, which will open in mid-November, also offers adult primary care through family nurse practitioner Amber Gaskins.

Damron joins Summit Medical Group as the organization begins to provide pediatric care in addition to adult primary care.

“As Summit Medical Group continues to grow, pediatricians such as Dr. Damron will allow us to provide comprehensive, high-quality primary care under one roof,” Summit Medical Group CEO Ed Curtis said. “We expect that many families will appreciate the continuum of care available to them at Summit Medical Group at Maryville, and we look forward to serving them.”

Damron graduated from Maryville College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1992 and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Damron currently serves as the medical director for Alcoa City Schools, and prior to joining Summit Medical Group, he worked with Maryville Pediatric Group.

Damron resides in Louisville, Tennessee, with his wife, Ann. They have three children: Patrick, Paige and Preston. In his free time, Damron enjoys golfing and running.
