KNOXVILLE - Following an extensive national search, the Alliance for Better Nonprofits (ABN) has appointed Eddie Crim to serve as Assistant Director of Capacity Building. Crim has a truly unique set of qualifications. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. Crim also earned a master’s degree in digital photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He will complete his MBA at UT’s Haslam College of Business this December. Crim has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Pellissippi State and the University of Tennessee.

In addition to his outstanding academic credentials, Crim has been a small business owner and brings that welcome perspective to ABN. At UT, he served as the Director of Philanthropy for the Tennessee Organization of MBAs. He led that group’s activities with diverse nonprofits including Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Relay for Life, MEDIC, and Second Harvest Food Bank.

Crim has served as an intern in the ABN office since January. He will report to Elle Benson, ABN’s Director of Capacity Building, and is replacing Chloe Perry, who has taken another position in the Tri-Cities.

Crim is married to his wife, Holly, who is a family practice physician.
