O’Charley’s raises $170,000 for Folded Flag Foundation

NASHVILLE, TN - As part of an ongoing commitment to the nation’s active and veteran military service members, O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar has raised more than $170,000 for The Folded Flag Foundation across its 200+ restaurants. This year’s fundraising efforts are an extension of the restaurant brand’s three-year partnership with The Folded Flag Foundation, resulting in more than $390,000 collectively raised.

The Folded Flag Foundation is a non-profit organization that is making a difference by providing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of our nation’s fallen service members. Thanks to the organization’s hard work and generous supporters, The Folded Flag Foundation awarded more than $1.8 million in educational scholarships to 205 spouses and children for the 2018-2019 academic year. The scholarships cover a wide range of educational expenses for K-12, as well as for undergraduate and graduate college programs and trade schools.

“We are grateful to our O’Charley’s team and guests for their participation and generosity in donating to The Folded Flag Foundation,” said Craig Barber, O’Charley’s President & ABRH, LLC CEO. “Together we raised a total of $171,971 through our “Give $5, Get $5” campaign.”

Guests who donated $5 on their checks were given a $5 O’Charley’s voucher as a thank you for their donation.

Additionally, in honor of Veterans Day, all active and retired military service members are invited to enjoy a free meal from O’Charley’s. Veterans can choose from O’Charley’s “Veterans Thank You Menu” all day on both November 11th and 12th simply by showing their military IDs. Restaurant participation may vary by location.*

“We are dedicated to honoring members of the U.S. military and their families all year long through a variety of initiatives,” said Barber. “We want to do what we can to invest in their families’ futures and say thank you the way we do best—by inviting them to the table to enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family.”

Over the past two years, O’Charley’s has served more than 114,000 veterans around the table for complimentary meals on Veterans Day.
