Public meeting on proposed supportive housing development, Sept. 23

The City of Knoxville will host a public meeting to provide information about a proposal by Volunteer Ministry Center to build 47 units of supportive housing development. The housing would be built on City-owned property on East 5th Avenue, adjacent to Caswell Park and Positively Living.

Participating in the meeting will be City of Knoxville Director of Community Development Becky Wade, Volunteer Ministry Center Chief Executive Officer Bruce Spangler, City of Knoxville Office of Neighborhoods representatives, City officials and community development partners.

The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Knoxville Area Urban League Community Room, 1514 E. 5th Avenue. Knoxville Area Urban League is located on KAT Bus Route 30 and is a block away from the Bus 31 stop at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Winona Street.
