KNOXVILLE -- The Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS) headquarters located in Knoxville are officially under renovation. When AMS first began operations at this location in 1988, all employees fit in one building. As AMS grew, so did its campus, which now spans over 100,000 square feet of office, laboratory, and additional expansion space.

AMS has had several rounds of renovations over the years. The company developed its training facility in 2008, and additional laboratory, office space, and land for expansion was purchased in both 2011 and 2017. This year, AMS has decided to turn its attention back to its original “Building A” to create even more office space for its ever-growing business.

The lower floor of the building will be transformed into a state-of-the-art software development laboratory with offices and a communal space for collaboration and creativity. The software team is responsible for developing the testing technology that is used at AMS, and the company is excited to officially welcome them into their own laboratory space later this year.

The expansion is being led by AMS Software Development Manager Sam Caylor. The renovation is expected to cost nearly $2 million and will be designed by Barber McMurry Architects and constructed by Denark. The construction is currently on track to be completed by Q4 of 2022.
