Three consecutive buckets by Maverick Willett and a trey by Wes Lambert gave Maryville a 24-11 advantage at the ten minute mark. A Craig Raye fast-break dunk fired up the visiting Scots and an Oscar Butler three-pointer capped the 15 minute mark with a 16-point, 35-19 lead. MC cruised to the half with a 44-23 advantage following key baskets by Lambert, Corey Conard, and Donald Rucker. Maryville finished the half hitting 58% from the floor while forcing 14 Covenant turnovers with a strong defensive effort.

An 11-0 Maryville run to begin the second half helped the Scots earn their largest lead at 57-25. A final 52% shooting effort allowed MC to cruise to the 24 point victory. Maryville out rebounded Covenant 39-24 and forced 24 turnovers to help the orange and garnet earn the win.

Covenant (5-15, 1-4 GSAC) did not have a player post double digits in scoring.
