Andrew Noboa named Capital One Academic All-District by CoSida

MARYVILLE -- Maryville College senior placekicker Andrew Noboa, a native of Deltona, Florida, was named as a 1st Team Academic All-District selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America following his 2011 campaign.
Noboa, a mathematics with teacher licensure major, has excelled in the classroom with a 3.48 cumulative grade point average. On the football field, this All-USA South performer has helped the Scots earn a 4-5 record with a three game win streak going into their season finale. He is a three-year starter for the Scots and was named 1st Team All-USA South in 2010 for his excellence on MC's special teams unit. He is the Maryville College school record holder for most field goals in a single season. Andrew is the son of Luis and Kate Noboa.
As a 2011 Capital One Academic All-District selection, Andrew will be considered for Academic All-American honors by CoSida voting members. All-American selections will be announced at the end of November.
