Rodgers earns second consecutive USA South accolade
MARYVILLE -- For the second consecutive week the USA South Athletic Conference has honored Maryville College's Kendyhl Rodgers for his outstanding play as the league's rookie defensive player of the week.
The freshman defensive back from Dundee, Florida tallied three key pass breakups in the end zone to help the Scots top USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan, 23-16. Rodgers also added three total tackles, one of which was for a loss of four yards. Also Nominated: Josh Oliver, Ferrum; Keltcey Richardson, Methodist; Ervin Brown, Averett.
