MARYVILLE -- The American Volleyball Coaches Association released their 2011 All-Region selections for this fall season of competition. Maryville College's Kristin Findley was an honorable mention selection of the 21 South Region honorees. Findley is the only representative from the Great South Athletic Conference.

Kristin is majoring in Business Organization Management with a minor in Economics. She is the daughter of David and Donna Findley and is from Maryville, Tennessee. She has been a part of the Fighting Scots Volleyball Team for the past four seasons. In that time, she has posted 1,312 kills, 228 Service Aces, 1,147 digs, and 129 blocks. In her freshman year, Kristin was named to the GSAC All-Freshman and All-Conference Teams and was also named the 2008 GSAC Freshman of the Year. She was again named to the GSAC All-Conference Team in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Her skills were recognized by the league's coaches by being named the GSAC Player of the Year for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

This season Findley led the Scots to a 26-7 overall record and a regular season Great South Athletic Conference title. Her Scots claimed their 9th GSAC Tournament crown and earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, their 10th bid in the program's history.
