Fountain City art show open to all artists

The Fountain City Art Center (FCAC) has opened a "Reflection" theme show to all artists. This 2-D and 3-D art show will be held February 15 through March 28.

On Tuesday, February 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. artists can take their entries to the art center at 213 Hotel Avenue. You do not have to be a FCAC member to participate. The entry fee per work if $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Entry fees will pay for reception food, judges' fees, invitations, postage, and awards. Entry forms can be picked up at the Center or you can request one by email at fcartcenter@knology.net.

A reception will take place on Friday, February 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Awards will be announced at 7:00 p.m.

Awards include Best of Show, $125; First, $100; 2nd, $75; 3rd, $50; and 3 honorable mentions, $25 each. Judges will be Rikki Taylor and Judy Jorden.

Also showing will be "Student Exhibits": Artwork by Knox County students from the Powell area.
