Fire at 902 N. Central St., Eternal Beauty Salon

KNOXVILLE -- This morning at 3:00 AM, the Knox County Emergency Communications center received a call from an Uber driver that was passing by 902 N. Central Street, reporting smoke was coming from the building. The caller advised that the smoke was coming from the upper floors, and he could see flames.

Upon the arrival of the first Knoxville Fire units, a fire was discovered on the second floor of the building in the Eternal Beauty Salon. Firefighters were able to access the fire room quickly and began to extinguish a fire that was located in the floor of the upstairs salon.

The building has suffered moderate fire, smoke, and water damage. The business located on the first floor- Benefield Richters Architecture Planning (sic) has suffered significant water damage.

No injuries have been reported.

The Knoxville Fire Investigations Unit has been on the scene, working to determine the cause of the fire.
