KNOXVILLE - This morning at 6:24 am, the homeowner at 5535 Stoneleigh Road called Knox County 911 to advise her camper was on fire. The caller advised the camper was very close to her home.

KFD dispatched a full residential assignment to the address.

Upon arrival of the fire company, they discovered a fully involved 5th wheel-style camper. The crew immediately began firefighting operations and achieved knockdown of the bulk of the fire within 10 minutes of arrival.

A tractor-trailer trailer was in the backyard next to the camper, and the fire extended into that trailer. The home was not affected by the fire.

No one lived in the camper and it was under renovations.

No Injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire has been determined to be misuse of heat lamps to warm a chicken coop that was inside the RV.
