First Friday Block Party rescheduled for June 7

KNOXVILLE - Due to the forecast for rain and possible thunderstorms, the First Friday Block Party previously scheduled for Friday, May 3, has been rescheduled for the First Friday in June – June 7.

Tonight’s First Friday event hosted by Arts and Culture Alliance will be held at The Emporium, 100 S. Gay Street, as usual. The Arts and Culture Alliance has hosted First Friday events in downtown Knoxville for 20 years.

On June 7, Gay Street between Jackson and Vine avenues will be open to pedestrians only between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. for a celebration. The block party will begin at 5 p.m. and end at dark. On street parking spots in the 100 Block will be unavailable starting at 3 p.m.
