KNOXVILLE - On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11:09 pm, the Knoxville Fire Department responded to a reported building fire at Store Space, 201 Randolph St. Crews arrived to find multiple fires burning in the building. The fires were extinguished with minimal damage to the building.

Knoxville fire investigators have worked to identify a suspect, 46-year-old Christopher Kirkpatrick. He has been charged with one count of aggravated arson, as there were other occupants in the building at the time of the fire.

Kirkpatrick was taken into custody by the Knoxville Police Department on separate charges on March 28, 2026. He is currently being held at the Roger D Wilson Detention Facility.
