KNOXVILLE - At 11:30 am today, the Knox County Communications District received an urgent call regarding a potential house fire. Upon arrival of the first response team at 306 Oak Park Drive, heavy smoke and flames were visible emanating from the residence. The Knox Fire Department (KFD) quickly mobilized and managed to bring the fire under control by 11:45 am.

At the time of the incident, two individuals were residing in the home and were present during the fire. Fortunately, both occupants were able to evacuate safely without any injuries. However, one individual found themselves trapped on the deck due to the advancing flames and had to escape by jumping out of a window.
The house has sustained extensive fire damage and is considered a total loss. According to reports, there were no pets in the home at the time of the fire. Additionally, no injuries to firefighters have been reported in connection with the incident.
KFD investigators are currently on site and are working diligently to determine the cause of the fire. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
