KNOXVILLE - Elliott Schuchardt, a candidate for the Tennessee General Assembly, says that the State of Tennessee won’t give a him a hearing on his law license.
Schuchardt is a candidate for Tennessee House District 18, in the August primary. District 18 covers much of west and south Knox County.
Schuchardt is running against incumbent Elaine Davis. Davis is the Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee of the Tennessee General Assembly.
Schuchardt says that Davis is not doing her job in the General Assembly. He says that the State ethics board is attacking lawyers for political purposes, and that this conduct needs to stop.
Schuchardt says that that Tennessee ethics board has attacked his license to practice law, and that he has not been able to obtain a hearing on the case in more than eight years.
Schuchardt says that the courts in Tennessee have written three opinions on his case, which are based on falsified evidence, that he was not permitted to challenge in court.
For example, the Tennessee Supreme Court recently wrote an opinion about Schuchardt’s case. In the opinion, the Court found that it was proper to deny Schuchardt access to witnesses, and a hearing. |
