Pigeon Forge Names Interim Director of Tourism

PIGEON FORGE, TN - The City of Pigeon Forge is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Warner as Interim Director of Tourism following the retirement of longtime tourism leader Leon Downey.

With over 20 years of dedicated experience in local tourism and marketing, Amy Warner has been a driving force within the hospitality community. Her extensive service includes more than nine years on the Pigeon Forge Hospitality & Tourism Association (PFHTA) Board of Directors, where she currently co-chairs the Communications Committee. Amy’s deep industry insight, strong leadership skills, and established partnerships make her the ideal choice to lead during this period of transition.
City Manager David Wear expressed full confidence in Warner’s abilities: “Amy has the full confidence of city leadership and our tourism community as she steps into this position. Her industry knowledge, leadership experience, and years of service working with tourism organizations and partners make her exceptionally qualified to help lead our tourism efforts during this transition.”
The city also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Leon Downey for his many years of service and commitment to enhancing Pigeon Forge’s tourism landscape. His visionary leadership has contributed significantly to the city’s growth as a premier travel destination. We wish Leon all the best in his well-earned retirement.
